24.12.07.........Well,all gigs finished for the year,Christmas Eve and all that,and the end of a year that brought some fantastic experiences musically with a new project in DC that ,no matter how it faltered ,was great to be involved with and will hopefully relaunch in 2008!!!!Ultimately,it has brought together two guys,who are about to launch their own project that will be just as good,if not better!Best,and sincere,wishes to Ains AND Bill!!! hopefully i'll post info about em when the're ready to hit the circuit.............And the finishing touches are hopefully being sorted to get Damage Control back on the circuit early next year!!! Its also been very enjoyable to do a bit of "dep" work with the band Rockerfella towards the end of the year,they are a fantastic band and i recommend you check em out if the chance arises. Black Rose just takes care of itself really and the band again did a few unforgettable gigs culminating in the Richmond Rocks concert .The BR side of things is to be reduced in terms of gigs to 2 per month next year so i might have to take up gardening or summat to keep me occupied!
I'd like to thank Paul and Matthew Knight who put this site together for me,its been a strange new project to learn about running a website when i only got a PC a couple of years back!!!!! Paul,you're a star....and a bit of an unsung hero to some local band and band info sites,take a bow mate!!!
This year is also the 10th anniversary of Black Rose.....heres to many more,and maybe with the current line up which is without doubt the most accomplished,relaxed bunch i've been involved with! Thanks to Col ,Ben and Big Al for putting up with me whining ( they dont call me Meldrew for nowt and "Chirpy" is a sarcastic reference!!!).....then theres Craig,wot a great help he is with the kit !!!
........................finally ,there's Val, who puts up with all me crap around the house and constant shouts of "how do i cut and paste this photo man!!!!!!". She just tells me straight when i'm being a **** and we all need to be told that now and again!!!

I am the "Geordie" from the title of the site and as you can guess i currently play drums in two North East based Rock bands, Black Rose, a Thin Lizzy "cover " band, and Damage Control, a newish side project borne from Black Rose with guitarist Col Dixon.Originally ,this site was to be put together to keep a more updated list of gigs for DC as we like to call it but with there being ,at the time, an official DC site then i thought i'd just incorporate a couple of other ideas on here .So.......lets see how it goes...............
